If you haven’t done one for a while, it would be prudent to consider setting aside 3-4 days to complete the process. Once you have locked down everything and the wheels are in motion, we recommend that you revisit your STRATEGIST file annually to ensure you are learning at the same rate of faster than change is occurring in your strategic environment.
How often should we engage in strategic workshops?
The purists would say all executive members plus all relevant subject matter experts. We agree with that and highly recommend your board does not participate. The result of the strategic workshop is a series of recommendations for you to make to your board for approval. We support you with our proprietary system called STRATEGIST, that helps boards to understand the decision making process you undertook to make the recommendations you made. This ensures they are objective in their assessments of the outcomes and free of any conflict of interest.
Who should be involved in a strategic workshop?
We can come to you or meet you offsite at a location of your choice. These workshops are intense so it is important you and your team can participate in them free of all work distractions. We ask that you set yourselves up for that level of commitment.
Where do you facilitate your strategy workshops?
Once you have your board’s approval, you will be guided by your STRATEGIST file. All strategies will have accompanying implementation plans embedded in STRATEGIST that make it easy for you to download and submit as progress reports. You can use the tool to delegate and oversee your executives as they lead the strategies to completion.
What happens after we have finished a strategic workshop?
STRATEGIST is a proprietary system designed by ETHICLEAD to guide you to achieve world’s best practice in strategic leadership. Combined with our expert facilitators, you will leave no stone unturned in your quest for the best possible strategy for your organisation. STRATEGIST is currently under development to be available as a multi-tenanted software tool that will be available to purchase. This will give you complete control and autonomy to facilitate your own future strategic workshops.
