Leading a school can be isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. The ETHICLEAD® Principals’ Roundtable is a trusted network of Independent School Leaders committed to collaborative growth, shared learning, and professional excellence.
This year-long program brings together eight principals in a confidential, high-trust environment to exchange insights, tackle challenges, and accelerate leadership growth. With nine meetings per year, including a two-day retreat, the Roundtable blends collective wisdom with practical strategies to help leaders strengthen decision-making, improve culture, and build sustainable success.

Program Format: 9 Meetings Per Year - Eight 5-hour meetings and one two-day, two-night retreat.
Membership: Annual, running from 1 January to 31 December.
Group Size: Limited to 8 Independent School Principals, plus a professional Chairperson and secretary.
Location: Meetings are hosted at member schools, with the retreat held at a resort-style location within 100km of Brisbane CBD.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS
Stephen Scott and Samantha Holzberger bring complementary expertise to deliver high-impact leadership programs. Stephen, creator of The 15 Disciplines® Leadership Framework, draws on over four decades of leadership experience, including 22 years in the Royal Australian Air Force, to help leaders drive cultural and organisational change.
Samantha has been instrumental in developing The 15 Disciplines® Program, applying her sharp operational focus to program design, client communication, and event coordination. Together, they combine strategic insight with seamless delivery, empowering teams to lead with purpose and achieve lasting success.

Confidentiality is central to the Roundtable experience. Membership vetting ensures there are no conflicts of interest, and professional standards outlined in the Terms of Reference are upheld to create a safe and secure space for open discussions.
Can I join at any time during the year?
Membership runs on an annual basis, starting in January each year. New members can enquire about joining waitlists or future cohorts.
What is the commitment required?
Members are expected to attend all 9 sessions, including the two-day retreat, and actively contribute to discussions to maximise the value of the experience for the group.
What does a typical meeting agenda look like?
Meetings are structured to balance discussion, learning, and reflection. A typical agenda includes:
- Check-ins and updates.
- Guest presentations or speaker sessions.
- School tours hosted by members.
- Leadership reflections and group discussions.
- Roundtable business and planning.
How is conflict of interest managed?
ETHICLEAD carefully vets each applicant to prevent conflicts of interest within the group. Factors considered include:
- Principals reporting to the same governance body (e.g., school boards).
- Principals working in the same geographical area.
- Principals who have worked at the same school within the past three years.
PRICING
An annual Principals’ Roundtable membership is $5,250 ex GST. The membership fee includes all meals, accommodation and sessions at the annual retreat.
