In the 2026 Semester One edition of Connections, Rockhampton Girls Grammar School’s magazine, Principal Kara Krehlik writes about the school’s new Character Academy and the role The 15 Disciplines® plays within it.

“In an Australian first, Girls Grammar has partnered with ETHICLEAD to deliver The 15 Disciplines of Ethical Leadership to staff and students, side by side.”

Late last year, the school’s 2026 Prefects completed a five-day program alongside 16 staff members. As Kara describes it, they were “modelling a shared learning culture grounded in purpose and integrity.”

That is what makes this work distinctive. Rather than developing student leaders and staff separately, Girls Grammar is building a common leadership language across both. 

Kara writes that the framework “will form the backbone of our whole school leadership ecosystem from 2026 onward,” with Character Academy beginning in Years 7–8 this semester and becoming fully embedded across the school by 2028.
